About the Role:

Leisure World Seal Beach, an active senior living community and were looking for an experienced and Lead Plumber to join our Service Maintenance Team. As a lead Plumber you are responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential units, apartments, community facilities, and business offices. This role requires a commitment to providing excellent customer service to senior residents and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality work, timely service, and provide mentorship and guidance to other plumbers while serving as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and issue resolution before escalation to management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mentor and lead other plumbers on staff.
• Install, repair, and maintain water, sewer, and drainage systems.
• Repair plumbing fixtures such as faucets, sinks, toilets, and water heaters.
• Maintain and install sump pumps and sprinkler lines.
• Complete and document service repair orders.
• Assist with facility maintenance, including swimming pools and golf course lakes.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Journeyman-level plumbing skills with 5+ years of experience in residential and commercial plumbing.
• Ability to lead and mentor plumbers on staff.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing materials, tools, and safety procedures.
• Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot plumbing issues.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Physical & Work Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly, and up to 125 lbs. with assistance.
• Frequent standing, kneeling, climbing, and use of hand tools.
• Exposure to outdoor elements, chemicals, and plumbing materials.
• Must be comfortable working in a 55+ community and engaging with elderly residents.
